Me. Portland Pecha Kucha 7/15. Yikes.
I’m happy to announce that I was accepted as a presenter for the 7/15 Pecha Kucha @ Space in Portland.
If you know me, I am not short on words - I would even go so far to say that I could probably hold a lively (albeit one-sided) conversation with pretty much anything you put in front of me (rocks and vacuum cleaners included). But, as I contemplate the presentations we have had at the Midcoast Pecha Kucha (which I help to organize…go here and friend us « I’m shameless) I come up blank.
What the hell am I going to say? What the hell do people want to hear? Process, sure…but after that 10 seconds is over?
Ideas:
1. Do a little dance
2. Tell some dirty jokes
3. Relay some personal stories outlining my view on creativity
4. More dancing and dirty jokes (with associated hand gestures of course)
5. Explain why creating is not a choice but a compulsion
6. Reminisce about my long, mindless and relaxing strolls up and down the Home Depot isles (and odd looks at the checkout)
7. More dirty jokes…
Needless to say. I’m nervous.
