Look for the Silver Lining

There will be times when days turn gray

The storm rages on, thrusting gusts of wind your way

Dark, turbulent clouds block out any sun ray

No, this is not what you view as an ideal day

While your clothes may turn soggy

And your view may turn foggy

And ends up leaving you feeling quite groggy

You might enjoy it, but you’re not a little froggy

Don’t despair; don’t lose hope

It won’t do you any good to sit around and mope

You can do so much more than cope

You might just need to view it with a different kind of scope

Yes, the rain might feel dreary some of the time

But it cleanses and washes away all the grime

It allows plants to grow and then reach their prime

Water’s role in life is truly sublime

Each occurrence is a blessing, even if you can’t see it yet

Rainy days should be seen as more than just a threat

It happens regardless, so there’s no need to get upset

After all, sometimes it’s important to get a little wet

Don’t get so fixated on those gray clouds up in the sky

Don’t forget how precious water is—it’s a blessing, a supply

The sun will definitely return; you don’t have to ask why

Finding the meaning in each experience is a lesson we should apply
