Help make creative experimentation, thoughtful writing, artist stories, and accessible resources possible.

Creativity Chronicles is an independent creative project by artist, writer, and art educator Jessica Carey.

I believe creativity belongs to everyone—not only people with abundant money, professional training, conventional abilities, ideal circumstances, or access to perfectly stocked studios.

That belief shapes everything I create here: reflective essays, artist stories, community-resource guides, accessible creative ideas, Materials Lab experiments, and explorations of what people and materials can become when they are given room to grow.

Much of this work is offered freely because access matters.

If Creativity Chronicles has helped you discover a resource, reconnect with your creativity, feel less alone, see an overlooked possibility, or find language for something you have experienced, you are welcome to support its continued growth.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Tips help support work such as:

  • Researching and maintaining free artist, disability, and community-resource guides
  • Purchasing materials and tools for Materials Lab experiments
  • Testing affordable, reclaimed, donated, and unconventional art materials
  • Creating original artwork, photographs, and educational content
  • Interviewing and highlighting artists, makers, organizations, and creative communities
  • Developing accessible guides, printables, and creative resources
  • Paying website, publishing, software, and digital-platform expenses
  • Continuing the early development of community-centered projects such as Everyone Creates

Needs may vary from month to month, but every contribution helps create more room for curiosity, experimentation, research, writing, and resource-sharing.

A Pressure-Free Invitation

If you are not in a position to contribute financially, you are still completely welcome here.

Many people who find Creativity Chronicles are navigating disability, financial hardship, burnout, major life transitions, limited access to creative materials, or other difficult circumstances. This work exists partly because I understand how much those barriers matter.

Please take whatever information, encouragement, or creative possibility helps you.

Reading, sharing, subscribing, creating, and leaving a breadcrumb for someone else all help this work travel farther.

Thank you for being part of Creativity Chronicles—and for helping build a world where creativity, resources, and possibility are shared more freely.

Creativity belongs to you, too.
