The Clash of Beliefs
In the quiet corners of the mind
Where thoughts and dreams are intertwined
Two beliefs stand face to face
Each one claiming its own space
One whispers softly, "Stay the same."
The other shouts, "Embrace the change!"
Caught between these clashing views
A soul is torn, unsure to choose
The old belief, a comfort zone
A place where fears are overthrown
It promises a life of ease
But stifles growth and inner peace
The new belief, a daring call
To rise above, to stand tall
It beckons with a brighter light
Yet fills the heart with anxious fright
The heart, it yearns for something more
A life that's rich, an open door
Yet fear of failure, fear of loss
Keeps it bound, a heavy cross
The mind, it battles day and night
To find a path, to make things right
To blend the old with something new
And forge a path that's truly you
To let go of what no longer serves
And embrace the change that life deserves
For in this dance of give and take
A stronger, wiser self will wake
So, if you find yourself in strife
Caught between two ways of life
Remember this, and hold it true
The path you choose is up to you
