Why do we put ourselves and others down?
What goes that really do us?
Why is it considered okay to go and let people drown?
This is something crucial that we need to discuss
There’s no need to compete
And struggle and fight
We’re already divinely complete
We need to see this past way of life just isn’t quite right
We can drag each other down or life one another up
We can choose to live a different way
To feel good, ourselves, there’s no need to empty another’s cup
We don’t need to wait—this change can start today
We already know the brain releases endorphins when assisting others
Can you say a frosty, distant disposition makes you feel content?
We need to open up, illuminating our true colors
A world of kindness, love, and happiness—now that’s truly what is meant
Lift up your spirit
Don’t remain huddled low
It’s so close—can’t you hear it?
This world of light the Divine wants you to know
