In the mirror of life, reflections unclear
A mask of niceness, a facade we hold dear
Yet beneath the surface, a voice softly calls
To be genuine, authentic, to break down these walls
We say "yes" to others, our own needs we deny
But in doing so, our spirit starts to cry
For every "yes" that means a "no" to our soul
Is a step away from making ourselves whole
Why do we spend our energy so carelessly?
On people, places, things that drain endlessly
Our essence is precious, a treasure to protect
To nurture, to cherish, to deeply respect
Authenticity whispers, "Be true, be kind"
Not just to others, but to your own mind
For kindness that's genuine starts from within
A light that shines bright, a warmth from the skin
Let go of the need to please and conform
Embrace the unique, the true, the norm
For in authenticity, true kindness is found
A love for oneself that knows no bound
Stop clinging to habits that no longer serve
Release the old patterns, find the nerve
To say "no" when needed, to guard your own space
To honor your journey, your own sacred place
The trees teach us well, in their seasonal dance
Letting go of the old, to give new life a chance
In shedding the leaves, they find strength anew
A lesson in growth, in being true
Listen to the whispers of your heart's desire
Let authenticity be the flame that you inspire
For in being real, in being kind
You'll find the peace that you long to find
Embrace your true self, let your spirit soar
In authenticity, you'll find so much more
A life of meaning, of joy, of grace
A journey of love, in your own sacred space
