Like a diamond found in the depths of despair
In a world full of lies and pretend
So many struggle and drown in the deep end
Grinding and slaving away on the daily
Trying to fill a void to ease the pain greatly
Masks abound, conversation full of empty pleasantries
Modern society is mere dull mediocrities
Suffocating, smothering, and stifling our growth
Invisible barriers block our every hope
Lives where only struggle can be found
A distant dream of a life most profound
As walls build up and hearts grow cold
The power of love goes often untold
We fail to see the beauty in compassion and grace
While allowing egos to call the shots and the pace
Play pretend, fake it, never reveal
Not a word on how you actually feel
Hold back, plaster on a smile, stay in line
It's only leading to our deep decline
But hidden and tucked away in minds, hearts of gold
The beauty of unconditional love can unfold
It's a mighty force that can bring down any wall
A power that doesn't judge, letting us all stand tall
It carries us through life's struggles, no matter how thick
It's a beacon of hope, a flame that won't flicker or trick
The heart that loves without condition or bounds
Never succumbs to the darkness that surrounds
Open your heart, and embrace authenticity
Acceptance and love will grant you serenity
Be true to yourself, never settle for less
Unconditional love will never fail to impress
When darkness looms wherever we roam
Unconditional love is there to bring us home
It's a precious thing we hold dear
To help us stay the course every year
No matter what life throws, no matter the test
Unconditional love will keep you at your best
It shines a light on our soul
To aid when we feel out of control
Few people truly know this feeling
It's a treasure that encompasses the deepest healing
The world would be a better place if we all could know

So, in a lost world full of pain and confusion

In a society where we feel so alone
Unconditional love would change everything if only shown
Written off in disbelief, like unicorns, "such things don’t exist"

To show the world a love that can heal
Unconditional and pure, it's something to share
