Choose Freedom

In the garden of your heart, where shadows play

Lies a choice to make, a brighter day

To be part of the solution, not the cause

To embrace the future without pause

Memories of wrongs may linger still

But clinging to them is a bitter pill

Hatred, resentment, a heavy chain

Release them now, break free from pain

Forgive not for them, but for your own peace

Let the weight of anger finally cease

For holding onto spite is a poison deep

That robs your soul of restful sleep

In the tapestry of life, weave threads of light

Choose to rise above the endless night

For every grudge you hold, a burden grows

But in letting go, a garden blooms and glows

The past is a teacher, not a prison cell

Learn its lessons, but do not dwell

On the hurts that once cut deep and wide

For in forgiveness, your spirit can glide

The future calls with a gentle voice

Inviting you to make a choice

To be part of a world that's bright and new

Where love and hope are the colors true

Let go of the chains that bind

And free your heart, your soul, your mind

For in choosing love over hate's embrace

You find your place in a brighter space

The journey forward is yours to take

With every step, a new dawn to wake

Choose to be part of the light, the cure

And in doing so, your heart will soar
